Welcome to our blog! We are the children from 2KM and 2KJ at Leopold Primary School in Victoria, Australia. There are 45 of us and our teachers are Mrs Kathleen Morris and Miss Kelly Jordan. We used this space to share all the great things that happened in our classroom in 2011.
Mrs Morris had a fantastic dinner party with her friends last night to celebrate her 30th birthday.
Today Mrs Morris will spend the day with her husband, Nate. She is looking forward to a family dinner tonight!
Mrs Morris has made lots of friends through blogging and Twitter. Listen to their birthday messages in the VoiceThread below! Teachers, students and anyone else, feel free to add to the VoiceThread by recording a “happy birthday” message!
Leave a comment to wish Mrs Morris a happy birthday!
How do you like to spend your birthday?
Have you celebrated a “milestone birthday” for someone before?
It is Fathers’ Day on Sunday and everyone in 2KM and 2KJ would like to say
to all the dads around the world!
The students have prepared a special message for their dads on this VoiceThread. Just press play to hear the messages! Alternatively, you can click on each child’s name to hear their message separately.
Tip: press “more” to hear the rest of the comments (only about 36 fit on the page).
We do lots of reading in 2KJ and 2KM and we love it!
We do a two hour literacy block every day at school and we have lots of time to practise our reading skills.
There are so many books to choose from! Everyone likes reading different books, so we thought we’d share some of the books we are reading at the moment. Listen to our comments in the VoiceThread below by clicking on the students’ faces.
We would love to hear about the book you are reading at moment, so feel free to add a comment to our VoiceThread! This includes other teachers, students, parents, family members and friends!
You can easily sign up to VoiceThread if you don’t have an account. To add a comment, simply click on “Comment” (under the large image) and then click the “Record” button. After listening to the playback, select “Save” and your comment will appear on our VoiceThread after it’s been moderated.
