Leo’s Holiday Fun!

Hi everyone! It’s me, Leo, and I’m here with a holiday update post!

I have been checking out the blog each day and lots of 2KM and 2KJ students and their families have been leaving comments. That makes me so happy! I know Miss Jordan and Mrs Morris will be impressed too. I thought I’d surpise them and write up a post so that they can relax and enjoy their break!

It’s been pretty cold here in Leopold. Luckily, I have a thick coat of fur to keep me cosy and I’ve been doing some exercise in the LINC to stay warm too. (I’ve also been sneaking into the staff room each night to have a hot chocolate with marshmallows, shhh!)

I have enjoyed skyping my great buddies Panda, Juan Pablo, Quiksilver and Ruckus. The classes they belong to are all on holidays too, so we’re keeping each other company.

I’ve been doing a lot of reading this week (I’ll definitely get my free time when school goes back!). My favourite book is still Cloudy with a Chance of Chicken.

I’ve been over to the school foyer a few times to see if Mrs Hair, Mr Mac, or our new principal, Mr Donehue, were around. But I guess they’re enjoying the holidays too much because the place was empty!

The weather hasn’t been very nice lately, but the sun came out yesterday so I spent some time in the school friendship garden. It was lovely out there!

Don’t forget to check out the 2KM and 2KJ student blogs over the holidays. I am so proud of Charlotte, Millie, Jarrod and Haille! They’re doing a terrific job on their blogs and I know they’d love some comments!

Well, I have a few emails to write and then I might get out an iPod Touch and do some origami. Leave me a comment so I know what you’ve all been up to this week!

What has been your holiday highlight so far?

If you could take a holiday anywhere in the world, where would you go?

Leo’s New Pet is Called Lulu!

Hi everyone, I am back with the results of my poll to choose the name of my new pet. There were so many great suggestions for names and I have to thank all the people who voted.

We had 49 votes and the winning name with 15 votes was…

Lulu

Awww my new pet lion is a little girl with such a cute name!

Thanks for helping me choose it, everyone. I look forward to many blogging adventures ahead with Lulu. I have so much to teach her!

Leo 😆

What do you think Leo needs to teach Lulu about blogging?

A Gift for Leo!

Hi everyone, it’s me, Leo.

I am lucky to have lots of mascot buddies around the world. One of the mascots I have met this year is Ruckus the Reading dog.

Ruckus

Ruckus is in Ms Dowling’s K/1 class in Helensburgh, New South Wales. You can visit their blog called A Peek Inside and find out all about Ruckus by clicking here and here.

Ruckus has become a good friend of mine and sometimes we skype together when all the boys and girls go home from school! We have a lot in common. We both like reading and we both like blogging!

I could hardly believe my eyes this morning when I saw a parcel delivered to our classroom with my name on it!

I put together a slideshow to tell you all about my special morning.

I need a name for my new pet! The students in 2KM and 2KJ came up with some suggestions. Please help me decide by voting.

What name did you choose?

Have you ever received a surprise in the mail?

Leo’s Holiday Update

Hi boys and girls! It’s me, Leo.

Well, the holidays are about halfway over now. I miss everyone but I am having a lot of fun!

Here are some things I’ve been doing…

  • skyping my mascot buddies
  • playing Mathletics
  • reading lots of books
  • playing games on the IWB
  • replying to blog comments
  • watching movies (I watched “The Lion King” 5 times this week!)
  • eating lots of chocolate, ice cream and honey sandwiches 😳

Today I decided I should get out of the classroom. I walked down to the bus stop and went on an adventure!

When I got back I made a jigsaw puzzle out of one of my photos.

Can you solve the jigsaw puzzle and see where I went?

Click on the play button and time yourself by watching the clock on the left hand side.

Where do you think I went on my day out of the classroom?

How long did it take you to solve my jigsaw puzzle?

What have you been doing on the holidays?

Leo Asks About Quality Commenting

Hi, my name is Leo and I am 2KM and 2KJ’s class mascot!

I am right there alongside my friends in 2KM and 2KJ as they learn lots of new things and I am having so much fun being in this wonderful class.

I just ♥ to collaborate with all my blogging buddies around the world. In fact, I ♥ school so much that I sleep there every night!

To find out more about me, you can visit my very own page on the blog.

This week the students in 2KM and 2KJ have been learning about quality commenting. I have been a bit busy sleeping and skyping this week and I haven’t been paying close attention! Whoops! 😳

Juan Pablo and Mr Salsich gave me the idea of making my very own video so the students can help me out. The students in 2KM and 2KJ and I ♥ watching Juan Pablo’s videos.

Listen to my video and then help me by leaving a comment!

Go on, leave a comment now and help Leo out!

If you need a hint, check out this page on our blog for some tips.
