Welcome to our blog! We are the children from 2KM and 2KJ at Leopold Primary School in Victoria, Australia. There are 45 of us and our teachers are Mrs Kathleen Morris and Miss Kelly Jordan. Multi-Age Day Fun

Today was Multi-Age Day (MAD) at Leopold Primary School.

Students in the school were divided into 24 groups with children of all ages interacting in each group. Groups rotated around different classrooms for the day.

The theme for MAD was science and all of the students enjoyed participating in fun scientific experiments and activities.

The science activities were:

* Floating and sinking

* Using microscopes and magnifying glasses

* Finding creatures

* Making forensic fingerprints

* Conducting a science survey

* Reading and responding to science books

Leo is enjoying getting to know Mrs Morris, Miss Jordan and all of the students in 2KM and 2KJ.

Friday February 4th is the first day of school for 2KM and 2KJ in 2011!

We are very excited to have a new joint class blog this year. We are looking forward to sharing all of our learning adventures with you through our brand new blog.

Mrs Morris, Miss Jordan and all 42 students in 2KM and 2KJ had a wonderful holiday break. It is summer here in Australia, so going to the beach, swimming, playing outside, going camping and having barbeques were popular activities over the past few weeks.
