Bay FM

Bay FM is one of Geelong’s two major radio stations, and we are thrilled that students in our class will have the opportunity to write about news and reviews of our own suburb, surrounding areas and the city of Geelong. Read the introductory post on the Bay FM website here.

On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays (until the end of the school year) different 2KM and 2KJ student bloggers will write their own posts and they will be published on the Bay FM website for everyone to read. What a fantastic opportunity!

Jarrod is the first of our bloggers to feature on the Bay FM website. Follow this link to check out his post now!

Make sure you support our blogging students by visiting the Bay FM website regularly!

What do you think of this exciting project?

Do you have any ideas of what our student bloggers could post about?

I really love Jarrod’s post. He did an outstanding job writing all about Gala Day. 🙂

I do have a few suggestions for some of your posts which you may like to write about.
You could write about the Otway Rangers or the Great Ocean Road telling the readers about all the wonderful sea side beaches along the route of the great ocean road.
Hope this gives you some ideas.

    Happy writing and blogging everyone.

    From AA.

We think you should write about the Ultranet and tell the Geelong community what you have been learning. How the Ultranet will stay with you till you are a teenager!

Thank you for leaving our class a comment, it is great. 😎

We went to the Gala Family fun Day, but because it was raining they cancelled it. I think if it was on we would have had fun!

Yes Jarrod did a very good job indeed. 🙂

Do you have Gala day in New Zealand ❓

  6. Hello year 2 bloggers!
What a thrill to see you are now radio stars! You must be very proud to be out and about doing wonderful things in the community! Congratulations, I’m sure you will be fabulous leaders and representatives of your school.

What is your favourite type of music on a radio station? Do you like the radio station competitions? Maybe you could take feedback and ask the audience of Geelong what they want to see more of?

    -competitions/quizes
-kids music hour- you can be the DJ’s
    -storytime- read your poetry/writing
-101 ideas for parent s to do with their kids over the summer holidays
-kids issues- encourage other kids to call in
-did you know amazing facts about Geelong

Jarrod your post was brilliant! Keep up the awesome effort!

Jarrod, you did a great job with the first post. I’ll have to keep on reading to find out more about what you post.

Even though I live in the United States, this makes me want to listen to Bay FM online to see if I can hear them talking about all of you!
